Capability 04 — Surface
The surface character beneath every colour — mirror, satin, hairline and matte, polished by hand and machine to a flawless, gallery-grade base. The finish you see, and the perfect foundation for PVD.
Finishing is where metal becomes luxury — the surface character that catches light and sets the tone of a whole space.
We polish and brush stainless to a range of defined surfaces — super mirror, satin, hairline and matte — each a deliberate character, not an accident of the process.
Finishing is also the foundation for PVD: because coating reveals whatever lies beneath, the surface must be perfect before colour is applied. That's why our polishing happens to a strict standard, under glove discipline, with no scratches or fingerprints permitted.
The surfaces
Our core surface characters — each available on its own or as the base for a PVD or plated colour.
Note · surface character also affects how a PVD colour reads — we'll advise on the right pairing.
Why it matters
Polished by hand and machine to a flawless, uniform finish worthy of luxury interiors.
Mirror, satin, hairline and matte are produced to a consistent standard — repeatable across panels.
A perfect surface is what makes PVD and plating look flawless — finishing comes first.
Each surface reflects light differently; we help you choose the right one for the space.
Glove discipline throughout — no fingerprints, no scratches on finished surfaces.
Surface character is matched across every piece in the project, not just one panel.
How we control it
Polishing is judgement work — so we standardise it with controlled-light inspection, handling discipline and a dedicated hold point.
Surfaces are inspected under controlled light for uniformity and freedom from scratches.
For coated work, the surface is brought to a flawless base before it ever reaches the chamber.
Finished pieces are handled with gloves at all times — no fingerprints or contamination.
Post-polishing is one of our four mandatory QC hold points with stop-authority.
